PoE lighting eliminates high-voltage wiring entirely: each fixture is powered and controlled through a single standard Cat6 Ethernet cable. No Romex. No conduit. No 120V circuits. The result is safer, more efficient, and infinitely more flexible than traditional lighting — and because it runs on low-voltage DC (48V), no electrical permit is needed for the fixture runs themselves. Individual fixture control, scenes, schedules, color tuning, and dimming — all from a mobile app or integrated into Control4, Crestron, or URC.

PoE lighting uses standard Ethernet cable to deliver both power and data to hardwired fixtures — it's not a consumer smart bulb. The intelligence lives in the network switch and controller, making it far more reliable and scalable than bulb-based systems.
PoEWit integrates with Control4, Crestron, and URC. For Lutron or other platforms, compatibility can be discussed during consultation.
PoE cabling runs are low-voltage data cabling — no licensed electrician is required for the fixture wiring in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician is required for the PoE switch's power source, which LLUMINET can also handle.
PoE LED fixtures typically consume 7–18W per fixture, compared to 60–100W for incandescent equivalents — up to 90% reduction in lighting energy use.
