The North End, Proctor and the Stadium District are full of houses from the early 1900s: craftsman and foursquare homes with plaster walls, old-growth fir framing and basements. Older homes here often need electrical attention too: original or undersized panels, too few circuits, and in some houses, leftover knob-and-tube wiring. Our safety inspections find what's there and put it in priority order, and our electricians handle the panel upgrades and circuit work that come out of them.

South Tacoma, the West End and Northeast Tacoma have more mid-century and later homes, which are usually simpler to wire from the attic or crawlspace. Across the city, the plan is the same: one central spot for the equipment, Cat6 to the rooms and access points that need it, and cameras on the same cabling.

Low-voltage wiring inside a house needs no permit in Washington. Electrical work in Tacoma — panel upgrades, EV chargers, new circuits — is permitted and inspected through the city or Washington L&I, whichever has jurisdiction, and we pull the permit and meet the inspector. Tacoma Power is the electric utility in the city, so a service change is scheduled with them.
